KARJAN: Panic spread at a CNG station on National Highway-48 near Karjan on October 1 after a car suddenly exploded while it was being refuelled, with the vehicle’s gas tank reportedly bursting during the filling process.Fortunately, no one was inside the car at the time, averting a possible tragedy.The incident occurred in the afternoon at a CNG station opposite Jindal Company.The explosion sent parts of the car’s rear body and shattered glass flying several metres from the vehicle. Two other vehicles parked nearby were also damaged in the blast, according to the information available.

The car’s gas tank reportedly burst while CNG was being filled, triggering a powerful explosion and panic at the pump.With no one inside the vehicle at the time of the blast, no casualties were reported.The force of the explosion damaged two vehicles parked near the car. Parts of the vehicle and broken glass were scattered several metres away from the spot.Following the incident, the Karjan fire team and police reached the spot and took necessary safety measures.
