For homebuyers in Uttar Pradesh, a new set of housing and commercial projects is set to expand the state’s real estate pipeline, with developments ranging from residential projects in Ghaziabad and Hapur to a large mixed-use project in Lucknow.The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA) has approved 12 new real estate projects across six districts, involving an estimated investment of Rs 1,663.85 crore, according to an official statement.The projects, cleared at UP RERA’s 214th authority meeting chaired by its chairman Sanjay Bhoosreddy on Tuesday, will together comprise 3,090 residential and commercial units.
Lucknow leads investment and unit count
Lucknow accounts for the largest share of the approvals, with four projects involving an estimated investment of Rs 609.35 crore and 1,972 units.The four projects include two residential developments, one commercial project and one mixed-use development, UP RERA said.Ghaziabad follows with three residential projects involving Rs 605.06 crore. These projects will comprise 574 residential units.Hapur has received approval for two residential projects with an estimated investment of Rs 123.45 crore and 192 units.The remaining three projects are spread across Ayodhya, Prayagraj and Kanpur.The Ayodhya project involves an estimated investment of Rs 72.61 crore and will comprise 85 residential units. In Prayagraj, a project worth Rs 51.66 crore will have 109 units, while the Kanpur project involves Rs 201.72 crore and will comprise 158 units.
Authority stresses timely completion
UP RERA said the newly approved projects are expected to boost construction activity and create opportunities in allied sectors, including construction materials, engineering and transport.For homebuyers, the authority said its focus would remain on compliance with the RERA Act, timely completion of projects and protection of their interests.Bhoosreddy said transparent and systematic development of the real estate sector, along with timely approval and monitoring of projects, remained a priority for the authority.
