The massive 21,000-square-foot mansion sits along Lake Erie and includes eight bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, a game room and a private theatre.The property was purchased in March for $5.35 million, before Kelce’s July wedding. Its location in Bratenahl also puts the NFL star close to the Cleveland area, where he grew up.Despite the attention surrounding the purchase, the move has reportedly been relatively quiet. The most noticeable change appears to be the added security around the private estate.A nearby neighbour described what happened when someone got too close to the property.“A neighbor approached the house and got a voice warning about not passing onto the property after getting too close to the house,” a nearby neighbor shared.The incident offers a rare look at the lengths being taken to protect the Chiefs star’s private space. Rather than relying only on physical barriers, the property now appears to use an automated voice warning to tell people when they have crossed too close to the residence.There is also no suggestion that Kelce’s arrival has led to major changes across the wider village.

Bratenahl already has security measures in place, according to local realtor Patricia Knight Gary of Howard Hanna Realty. She explained that the village has its own police presence and that nearby condominium properties also have round-the-clock security.“The village is a relatively secluded lakefront property. Something may have been set up at that particular home which is their private estate, but in terms of any additional fencing for the village, I’m not aware of that,” veteran realtor in the area, Patricia Knight Gary of Howard Hanna Realty, exclusively told Page Six.She also explained why additional security could become a topic of discussion as the couple spends more time at the property.“It does have a small police force that gauge and patrol the village on a regular basis,” she added. “And then even at the condos [down the street], there is 24 hour security, so I would anticipate that there might be some discussion in terms of increasing that.”For Kelce, however, the Ohio mansion is unlikely to replace his Kansas home as his main base during the NFL season. His Leawood residence remains particularly important while he continues his career with the Chiefs.“Right now, Travis’ Leawood [Kansas] home is his and Taylor’s primary residence and a big home base for them especially while he’s still playing for the Chiefs,” a source exclusively told Page Six earlier this month.The Ohio property could therefore serve as another private retreat rather than a permanent move. With Kelce balancing his NFL career, public appearances and life away from football, the new security system provides an added layer of privacy at a home that has already attracted plenty of attention.Local interest is also growing. Knight Gary said residents only learned about the move publicly and are waiting to see whether the arrival of the high-profile couple affects the neighbourhood.“We found out publicly when everyone else did [about their move],” Knight Gary told us.She added, “We’re waiting to see what impact this will have in terms of the additional traffic, additional people, and the village, but I think we certainly understand that this is not their full-time home either, so we have no way of knowing at this point just what the impact will be. It’s almost a wait and see, quite frankly.”For now, Kelce’s Ohio mansion remains a private escape, with technology helping keep unwanted visitors at a distance.
