Tom Brady, the seven time Super Bowl champion, might have retired from the league but he has remained focused on growing his wealth. While he has turned into an entrepreneur after his retirement from the league, it seems Tom Brady’s wealth will soar as his investment in the Las Vegas Raiders pays off in the middle of the season.

Tom Brady’s investment in the Las Vegas Raiders turns highly profitable in less than two years

As per reports, a group led by Silver Lake Managing Partner and co-CEO Egon Durban and Discovery Land Company founder and chairman Michael Meldman has acquired 25 percent of the club.A few weeks ago, the NFL approved the group’s purchase as it expanded co-CEO Egon Durban’s stake in the Las Vegas Raiders to 22 percent and Michael Meldman’s stake to 12.9 percent. But that’s not all; the Las Vegas Raiders’ largest minority shareholder, First Football, also sold their 25% stake in the franchise after holding on to it for two decades. The stake was bought in 2007 for a valuation of $700 million and it has been sold at a valuation of $9.9 billion. The Las Vegas Raiders’ owner Mark David weighed in on Egon Durban and Michael Meldman expanding their stakes in the franchise as he said, “They bring an incredible amount of infrastructure to this organization and expertise on so many different levels…”The billionaire owner added, “I’m not going anywhere,” Davis said. “I’m incredibly excited about the future, and I’ve got plenty of time and energy for this.”With Mark David not having any children of his own, he opened up about the Las Vegas Raider’s future as he said, “Egon is somebody that I think will take the Raiders into the future, once I’m gone…And I think Raider Nation is going to end up loving him when they get to know him and understand that he wants to win.. And that’s what it’s all about.”In the last couple of years, the Las Vegas Raiders have seen their valuation breaking records.

Tom Brady remained strategic about his investment in the Las Vegas Raiders as the franchise’s valuation soars

In October 2024, purchased alongside Knighthead Capital Management co-founder Tom Wagner, Tom Brady bought a 5% to 7% individual share (as part of a combined 10% group stake) for an equity investment of approximately $220 million. The investment was valued at $3.5 billion but it has since increased. Though the New England Patriots’ legend does not remain associated with the day to day operations of the team, he has spoken about how he is always a call away for any guidance to the Las Vegas Raiders’ players as he stands by them.
