NSE IPO subscribed 5.7x, generates Rs 90.2k crore demand

MUMBAI: The Rs 22,568-crore NSE IPO was subscribed 5.7 times the bidding amount, generating a total demand worth nearly Rs 90,200 crore. While the institutional part was subscribed 12.7 times, the HNI part was subscribed 6.6 times and the retail part 1.4 times, data on BSE showed. The part reserved for employees was subscribed 2.4 times. About 38.5 lakh applications were received in the IPO, an NSE release said. Before bidding opened, merchant bankers had allotted nearly 3.8 crore NSE shares to about 189 institutional investors at a price of Rs 1,785 per share, raising Rs 6,746 crore. The issue received total bids for 50.6 crore shares against 8.9 crore shares that were offered, exchange data showed. With Rs 22,568 crore raised, NSE IPO is now the second-largest such offer in India.
