BHUBANESWAR: A 26-year-old woman on Thursday alleged that she was raped at gunpoint by an unidentified masked intruder who allegedly entered her house in Bhubaneswar late on Wednesday night.The city police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident.Sources said a suspect has been detained for questioning in connection with the case.“We have got vital clues. The case will be solved soon,” said DCP Bhubaneswar, Saravana Vivek M.Police officials are examining the survivor’s statement to establish the sequence of events and ascertain whether the accused had any prior acquaintance with the woman, despite her claim that he was a stranger.Police sources said the woman lives with her elderly sister in a posh locality of the capital city.At the time of the alleged incident, her sister was away from home.The house owner who lives on the first floor said he was unaware of the incident.
