PATNA: The family of a Bihar native who works in Israel has taken vehicle safety to a height that could rival Mossad’s famed out-of-the-box strategies — they have parked their new SUV on the rooftop of their two-storied house in Gopalganj.Manoj Yadav’s family had hired a driver for their new SUV but he left the job after sometime in search of greener pastures. With a replacement not immediately available, the family was concerned about leaving the SUV unattended and selected the unusual parking spot.The choice caused a flutter. Videos of the vehicle being lifted by a crane and placed on the roof of the house in Meera Tola village of Manjha area went viral, drawing a wide variety of reactions.While some viewers called it a novel way to protect the vehicle, others questioned the safety of parking such a heavy SUV on a rooftop.There is no official word yet on whether the roof or the building is structurally capable of bearing the vehicle’s weight.According to locals, Yadav had purchased the SUV recently and he went to Israel later, leaving the vehicle with his wife and other relatives at their home.
