Lock Upp season 2 witnessed the shocking evictions of Sunita Ahuja from the controversial reality show. Sunita took a voluntary exit from the show due to health reasons. To make her exit extra special, the makers invited her husband and Bollywood superstar Govinda and their daughter Tina on the show.
Sunita speaks about his health
The episode started with Sunita informing the hosts Riteish Deshmukh and Farah Khan about her health condition and why she wants to leave the show. She shared, “My health is not good because my diabetes is not in control. I am having tension, also because I am going through menopause. I have pain and some difficulty in breathing also. That is why I have been telling again and again that I want to go.”
Govinda says he was sent videos of using abusive language
Soon, Govinda joined them on stage and said that Sunita had never experienced such difficult situations before entering the show. Calling her “a kid,” he shared that his friends had even sent him video clips of her using abusive language inside the Lock Upp house. He added, “No problem, jhela hai (I have been through this).”When Farah asked Sunita if the allegations that she speaks negatively about her own family had taught her anything after her time on the show. “Whatever it is in the family, set and done, ghar pe hi rakho (keep it within the house),” he said.Govinda went on to confess that he always love the people he is with and by the grace of the God they won’t have to face challenging times. Tina Ahuja also made an appearance on the show. She said that she was emotional at several points while watching her in the reality show.During one of the episodes of Lock Upp, Shreya Kalra asked Sunita about her statements against infidelity and how she felt cheated in the marriage. Sunita replied, “Hua toh abhi kya kar sakte hain… shuru se hi hua hain na lekin? Hero hain toh you can’t say anything. Iss umar mein abhi sochunga toh diabetes aur badhega. Jaise chal raha hain chalne do (If it happened also what can I do? It has been there since the beginning right? He is a hero at the end of the day you cannot say anything. If I think of all these things my diabetes will increase).”When Shreya asked her, “Don’t you feel sad?” She replied, “It’s fine, I live for my kids.”For the unversed, Govinda and Sunita tied the knot back in 1987. However, they made their relationship public only after the birth of their daughter, Tina. They also have a son named Yashvardhan Ahuja. As Sunita entered the show, she revealed that Govinda had several affairs during their marriage.
