Cops verify marriage claim of Lohagad murder accused, hint at Siya studying Indore man’s killing in Meghalaya
Siya and Chetan, accused in the Ketan Agarwal murder case, claimed during the investigation that they had secretly married a few months ago

Pune: Police are verifying claims if Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary — accused of murdering real estate businessman Ketan Agarwal at Lohagad on June 18 — were married, while former’s cellphone data revealed that she studied Raja Raghuvanshi honeymoon murder case online before bumping off her fiancé.“As of now, we do not have any evidence of their marriage, such as a marriage certificate, a court marriage certificate or any other documentary proof,” superintendent of police, Pune, Sandeep Singh Gill told TOI.A senior officer of Pune Rural police said Siya and Chetan claimed during the investigation that they had secretly married a few months ago. “Analysis of the communication between them on a cellphone messaging app is being carried out to verify their claim,” the officer said.He said the police were investigating where the duo allegedly got married and if the marriage took place before Siya’s engagement with Ketan on Feb 19 this year or later.Ketan died after he was allegedly pushed off a cliff at Lohagad on June 18. Initially, it was suspected to be an accidental death case. Siya and Chetan were arrested later on June 23 on the charge of Ketan’s murder.Another Pune Rural police officer said the analysis of Siya’s cellphone data revealed that she had searched online for details about the Raja Raghuvanshi murder case before allegedly pushing Ketan off the cliff at Lohagad. Raghuvanshi, from Indore in Madhya Pradesh, was murdered in Meghalaya in May. Investigators alleged that his wife hired contract killers, who pushed him off a cliff.
