NEW DELHI: A day after SpaceX chief Elon Musk’s accusation against the Modi govt, Rahul Gandhi said Congress is committed to breaking the chain of crony capitalism, and that India needs a level-playing field with every business having a fair chance to compete.In an X post, Rahul said, “Congress and I are committed to … building an economy driven by innovation and hard work – not political patronage.” The opposition neta waded into the controversy, as Musk hit out at the Ambani group, saying it was behind the lack of govt action on Starlink’s request for licence.In their X exchange, Rahul told Musk, “Wait till you discover the other guy.” It was an unnamed reference to Adani. The US tycoon thanked Rahul for his reply and said, “This is indeed troubling.” In a video montage posted on social media as a follow-up, the leader of opposition in Lok Sabha said, “I am not anti-business; I am anti-monopoly.”
