BENGALURU: Rashtriya Military School (RMS) Bengaluru has won the Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) Trophy for the best National Defence Academy (NDA) result for 2025-26.The trophy was presented on Sept 15 during the Annual Principals’ and Administrative Officers’ Conference of Rashtriya Military Schools at Manekshaw Centre, Delhi. The conference brought together principals and administrative officers from all five Rashtriya Military Schools, along with senior military leadership, alumni and other dignitaries.The conference was chaired by Lt Gen Vipul Shinghal, Deputy Chief of Army Staff (Information Systems and Training). Lt Gen Ajay Ramdev, Director General Integrated Training, and Maj Gen (Dr) Tamojeet Biswas, Additional Director General Army Education and Head of Service (Army Education Corps), also attended the event.

Former IAS officer Ashok Lavasa, an alumnus of RMS Belgaum, and Lt Gen SN Handa (retd), an alumnus of RMS Ajmer, were the chief guests. The annual conference focused on reviewing the functioning of the five schools and sharing practices aimed at improving academic performance, leadership, discipline and the overall development of cadets.
