GURGAON: A POCSO case has been registered after a 17-year-old girl from Delhi allegedly accused her friend of raping her multiple times at a hotel in Gurgaon, police said on Saturday.The case came to light after the teenager became pregnant. An FIR has been registered at the DLF Phase 1 police station under Section 64(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Section 6 of the POCSO Act, police said.According to police, the 17-year-old girl is originally from Bihar’s Samastipur and lives with her family in a rented accommodation in Delhi’s Vikas Nagar. She had known the accused since 2025.Police alleged that between January 1 and March 22, 2026, the accused took her to a hotel in Sikanderpur on MG Road in Gurgaon on multiple occasions, where he allegedly raped her.Recently, upon falling ill, she was taken to a hospital by her family. A medical examination confirmed that she was pregnant. As she was a minor, the hospital informed the police. A ‘Zero FIR’ was subsequently registered at Delhi’s Ranhola police station, following which the case was transferred to the DLF Phase-1 police station, police said.An FIR has now been registered under Section 64(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Section 6 of the POCSO Act at the DLF Phase-1 police station, they added.“We are investigating the matter and hotel records are being scrutinised. Raids are being conducted at potential hideouts to arrest the accused. The accused will be arrested soon”, senior police officer told PTI.
