Tyler Perry has slashed $3.5 million from the asking price of his Wyoming mansion, reducing it from $39.5 million to $36 million. According to Realtor.com, the property was first listed in June. The price cut comes days after the filmmaker reportedly purchased a $30 million mansion in Puerto Rico, as he prepares to spend more time on the island and focus on life with his 11-year-old son, Aman.

The Wyoming property, built in 2019, spans 12,050 square feet and features nine bedrooms and 8.5 bathrooms. Set across 37.62 acres, the estate offers privacy and access to the Snake and Gros Ventre rivers.The sprawling home features fireplaces, an in-home theatre and a cowboy-themed bar fitted with saddle-style barstools. Other amenities include a gym, swimming pool, hot tub, gas firepit and gazebo. The estate also has a guesthouse with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, along with a game room.The kitchen features a marble island, while the expansive grounds add to the property’s appeal as a private retreat. The listing is being handled by Tom Evans and Ashley Diprisco of Jackson Hole Sotheby’s International Realty, along with Phil Stevenson of The Clear Creek Group.
Tyler Perry buys a $30 million home in Puerto Rico
The price reduction comes shortly after Perry reportedly purchased a mansion in Puerto Rico for $30 million. According to TMZ, the property measures 14,475 square feet and sits on a 1.47-acre lot. Built in 2021, the home features five bedrooms and 10 bathrooms and is located in a gated community.The residence reportedly includes a cinema, a resort-style swimming pool, a gym and a chef’s kitchen. Sources also told TMZ that Perry plans to establish a production office on the island and film there.

Perry has also listed his California mansion for sale. The property, listed on September 29 with Santiago Arana of The Agency, spans 24,592 square feet and features nine bedrooms and 15 bathrooms.Perry purchased the property in 2004 for $4.3 million before transforming it into its current expansive residence in 2012. The listing describes the estate as an “extraordinary expression of privacy, security, and exclusivity.”Its amenities include a gym, steam shower, massage and salon rooms, a home theatre, a game room, two balconies, a music hall and a wine cellar. The listing agent reportedly said Perry has been spending “less and less time” in California.
Tyler Perry wants to slow down and spend more time with his son
During an appearance on Today With Jenna & Sheinelle, Perry spoke about his plans to move to Puerto Rico at the beginning of the year and pull back from work to spend more time with his son, Aman.“Getting older [inspired this]. It’s time to slow down a bit, enjoy more time with my son, and just take it all in,” he said.Perry shares Aman with model Gelila Bekele. The former couple dated from 2009 to 2020.The filmmaker also spoke about marriage, making it clear that he does not see it as part of his future plans. “At this age, no, that’s not a good idea for me. So no, won’t be any marriage for me,” he said.
A look at Perry’s Atlanta estate
Despite his reported plans to spend more time in Puerto Rico, Perry also owns an expansive estate in Atlanta. He purchased the approximately 1,200-acre property in 2018 and built a 35,000-square-foot mansion, complete with a swimming pool and a farm featuring horses and other animals.The estate is located near Tyler Perry Studios, his approximately 330-acre production complex. The studio grounds include a replica of the White House, an airport terminal, two baseball fields, a strip mall, a residential neighbourhood and a golf course.
